So the holidays are just around the corner and I'm in the mood for some delicious holiday baking. The trouble is, I'm having to force most of my Christmas cheer because living in Hawaii with the tropical climate and all makes it feel less like the holiday season and more like mid-summer. Not that I'm complaining, but still . . . it's weird. That Christmas tree is throwin' me off.
Anyway, I have a hankering for some sweet treats (what else is new?) and this is the best time to indulge. Here's my dilemma: to paleo, or not to paleo?
Pros of paleo bakingo Sticking to my diet somewhat (yes it's still dessert but it's better than most) o Dairy-free means less joint pain which is always a plus o It's exciting to experiment with new recipes (and to share them!) o Allows us to eat lots of sweets without that super guilty feeling
Pros of non-paleo baking o Almost always guaranteed to be delicious o Easy to find new, fun recipes o Oh hell, it's the holidays, might as well let loose!
Obviously the pros list is a tad more convincing. I think with the holidays rolling around and me job-less at the moment, baking treats is a must, and I will do whatever necessary to get those treat recipes to you. Be they paleo or not paleo, they will be attempted and they will be shared!

Ok I might not get to all my desired treats. I might find more interesting ones along the way. I might eat everything without sharing a bite with anyone. Who knows what will happen.
