This kind of defeated feeling and self-doubt can easily turn into a downward spiral of negative thoughts that will magnify feelings of pain, grief, frustration, depression and anger. Thoughts are powerful, and the more you focus on the bad instead of focusing on what you want your life to be like, the more energy you are wasting. It is a difficult thing to do, to ignore these thoughts and negative self-talk, but we must make an effort. I like to think of my dis-ease as a reminder to slow down and enjoy life's moments. I also remember that no matter how disgusted I am by the way my body looks or acts, it is still a beautiful body, and it is a miracle what it does everyday for me despite the constant stress on it. When I forgive my body for the way that it is and look at my dis-ease as a reminder to live better, I can make room for the positive thoughts. Why sit around and think about how bad things are when you could be day dreaming, brainstorming, journaling and sketching out how you want your life to be? For me, planning my future is what gets me through the most difficult and painful days. I get a notepad and write out all of my wildest goals and dreams are for the next few months and years. Then I write down action tasks for the next few weeks to get me started towards those goals. It doesn't matter if you actually get to do all the things on your list. The point is to get excited about something and to dream. This process creates a space for positive thoughts to take over. Even if you can't take some of these actions right away, you are putting the desire out there to have these goals and dreams manifest into your life. Fill your head with visions of what you want and what you already have that you want more of. When you are in a state of feeling appreciative for what you do like in your life, you welcome more opportunities to be appreciative and taking the first step towards your goals will not be as hard as it once seemed. If you have a day of feeling defeated, simply take out your notebook and write out everything that you like about your life and everything that you desire to come into your life. Forget the bad and negative things, just crowd them out with the good! So together, let's make a list of things that are going well for us. Let's focus on the good to attract more good! A desire to appreciate is a very good first step; and then as you find more things that you would like to feel appreciation for, it quickly gains momentum. And as you want to feel appreciation, you attract something to appreciate. And as you appreciate it, you attract something else to appreciate, until, in time, you are experiencing a rampage of appreciation. Most people offer most of their vibrational offerings in response to what they are observing, but there is no creative control in that.
