My daughter fractured her ankle and it was undetectable on x-rays for a couple of weeks. However, after about 3-4 weeks she was fine. Then I received the bill. It included a surgery package. So far all the information that I have been able to obtain is that it was"closed treatment of distal fibular fracture without manipulation". For over a month I have been trying to get a definition from the Dr's office for this charge. I have scoured the internet as well and still cannot find it. How do you treat a fracture that you do not manipulate? There wasn't even any injection. She only had an optional boot cast and and was told to not jump or run. I know that much! Can you define this statement and tell me how it is performed?
