Can VAXA Arthritin be used in dogs

Posted by tswearin

Just wanted to be sure that there are no contraindications to giving any supplements in VAXA Arthritin to a dog.  Does anyone know?  My dog has both severe hip dysplasia as well as arthritis in both hips.  thanks

Terri,

I don't know about the supplements, but you may want to consider using a product specifically for animals instead. As for the dysplasia and arthritits those can be greatly improved by switching your dog to a species appropriate raw diet and using Omega 3 supplements such as fish oil (not flax oil as that is not carnivore specific) - dogs are opportunistic scavenger carnivores. Diet/nutrition is the foundation of good health so in order to avoid these type of health issues with our dogs, feeding them a natural diet is not optional but rather critical.

To help you with learning about these here are some great websites:

Dr. Kim -- Thank you so much for taking the time to respond about my dog with hip dysplasia and arthritis.  I am going to check out the web sites you suggested.  I so much appreciate your advice.  Terri
