I may have won another battle in the epic war that is changing my name.
I headed over to Bank of America today to tell them that the name on my account and the name on my card should, you know, match. I watched the very helpful Miss Janet as she changed the name on my card and ordered me a new one. I hope it works. I guess we’ll see in a couple of days.
Then, I headed over to Greenville Utilities Commission to change my name on our electricity bill. It didn’t take that long and it didn’t seem very far, so I’m expecting some kind of wacky hijinks to ensure. I won’t find out, though, until our next bill comes in later this month. The suspense is killing me. …
Oh, and I changed my name on the Netflix account. That was probably easiest. It took me 2 minutes as I sat in our apartment in my comfy Umstead robe. Awesome.
I must admit I’m approaching changing my name on my passport (Canada), green card (Department of Homeland Security) and for my pending naturalization (Department of Immigration and Naturalization) with increasing trepidation. I have a feeling it’s going to be a long, arduous task stemming from my other experiences with them. We’ll see, though; maybe I’ll be surprised. That would be lovely.
