I was at work when we started getting the really heavy rain and winds and craziness. I wasn’t too worried until the lights starting flickering.
Oh shit.
The idea of being stuck in the dark in that shiesty hotel did not appeal to me, so I was glad that I didn’t get more than a brown out while I was there.
Driving home, though, was an adventure. My poor little Honda Civic was getting blown all over the road, but though the road had some flooding, it wasn’t too bad. I, at least, didn’t have to get out of my car and walk home, unlike poor Megan.
School was cancelled, which was incredible. I’m not used to having school cancelled for RAIN instead of SNOW. But I will most certainly take it. Got up and the sun was shining. I was a little bit confused as to why school was closed until I went outside.
Greenville was flooded.
Well, parts of it were.
The bottom of College Hill was out of control. I grabbed Bryan and we went and had fun in the flood waters, playing on a bridge that had been flooded out until Officer No-Fun came along and told us to go away.
What a jerkface.
What else… Oh. Snakes on a god-damn Plane. That movie is HILARITY. Seriously. Go see it. Now.
In other news, Jimmy is out of control, ridin’ that chile pepper.
