I was browsing through the apps on iTunes and found an app titled Beat Social Phobia with Andrew Johnson. It's a guided audio program that's supposed to help you overcome your social anxiety. I don't think I'll be downloading it because I have enough guided meditation audio stored on my computer. I just thought it was cool that there's an app in the iTunes store that's dedicated to social anxiety. That just goes to show that there's a lot of us out there suffering from this disorder and there is really no reason to be ashamed if you're suffering from SA. While my anxiety has gotten drastically better, I know that I'll always have to use the cognitive techniques I've learned over the years if I want to keep social anxiety out of my life.
P.S. Speaking of cognitive techniques, a few weeks ago I decided to restart (again) the Overcoming Social Anxiety audio series. I'm a little behind right now, but tomorrow I'll be starting session 8. I'm really looking forward to this session because its about mingling.
