i get to walk the dog three times a week when my daughters at work which i enjoy the problem is im constantly worrying about the dog when im not there when my daughter is off she doesnt allow me to go down and walk the dog as we dont get on . But when shes off shes rarely in the house and the dog is left on her own which i think she doesnt like. im a very sensitive person who suffers bouts of anxiety. i also have a handicapped brother who i worry about also who lives in a house especially for the handicapped . He seems happy but it doesnt stop me worrying but not as much as dog. i seem to always be thinking about the dog sat on her own, even tho she probs isnt. Can you please help

I appears you have become fixated on this dog, Steve.

I'm not sure whether this is part of your anxiety which sounds like generalized anxiety disorder, or a change to obsessive compulsive disorder. But either way it is treatable and you should seek treatment Steve as these rarely remit of their own accord once established and often become worse over time. Cognitive behavior therapies are very effective. Your physician should be able to recommend a therapist in your area.

Best wishes
