1) Air rifle target shooting is an exceptionally safe sport because:
a) Air rifles are not very powerful or dangerous
b) Strict safety rules are taught and enforced
c)Air rifle participants have been very lucky
d) Everyone knows how to be safe with guns
2) Before anyone can go downrange to change targets or for any other purpose:
a) Everyone must open their rifle actions and point their muzzles up
b) No one can go downrange until guns are placed in safe storage
c) All air rifles must be unloaded, grounded with CBI's inserted and checked
d) All firers must finish firing.
3) When a rifle is grounded, it must:
a) be fired
b) Be lying on the floor or mat with it's action open and a CBI inserted
c) Be lying on the floor or shooting mat
d) Be prepared to use in next position
Sorry for not making it clear: I am in Navy JROTC @ my high school, and we have a rifle program I'd like to do
And you are asking this in Military why? Do you think our guys use air rifles???
