can't sleep at night because of a feeling of electric currents going up and down my back and legs. Walk the floor all night

You may have restless legs syndrome, Caring Mom. It is treatable, so please see your doctor.

Alcohol and caffeine tend to make RLS worse so are best avoided, as is smoking.
