I suffer from anxiety and have for several years. Every now and then it feels like my body temperature is increasing rapidly, my palms sweat and my fingers tingle. Are these normal symptoms of anxiety?
Yes, Katherine, an apparent, though not necessarily real, temperature rise, sweaty palms and tingling of the fingers and/or toes (paresthesia) are symptoms typically produced by anxiety. However, they can also be symptoms of organic diseases too, so these should be ruled out before accepting that they are indeed anxiety related. Anxious people develop other illness too. Best wishes Ian
