Recently I ranted on the Anxietyguru.net forum about my current anxiety episode. For the past 10 days I’ve been in the midst of a terrible anxiety ordeal. In the past I’ve spoken about the two types of anxiety, the physical and mentally based kind. Well my current state of anxiety is fully mental and sadly rather debilitating.
But this post is not really about that. What I actually wanted to say is that as a result of being in so much mental distress I’ve been searching for information to reinforce all I know about anxiety to help me mitigate this bad turn of events. While at work I came across a great guide to stress management and positive thinking and I want to share it with you.
There are so many programs out there that might help some or all of us but unfortunately most of those are expensive. This guide is free and I found it at Lindaland.com. It’s two free mini books that can be read online or downloaded and give an excellent description of how to handle stress, anxiety, fear, and how to effect positive change on the negative thoughts we have.
This morning I was literally in pain because of my anxiety. It hurt to think and I was almost paralyzed with fear. I knew what was happening to me but I needed something external to snap me out of it. These short books did just that. I finished the day and once I got home just wanted to share these books while it’s fresh in my mind.
You can find the books here. I think I’m slowly coming around, but with anxiety you never know. I’m glad I found this great reminder that we can do a lot to effect how we feel and think. I hope this helps anyone that needs it.
