A Dog For Life

Did I ever mention that I have two adorable little West Highland Terriers called Henry and Lucy? Perhaps I didn't need to as there are enough pictures of them on here.

One those little darlings has just darted in through the patio doors and straight into my bedroom dripping wet. I stuck my head outside the door to check it if it was raining because I'm sure it wasn't when I let him out five minutes ago. It's positively arctic out there tonight and the sky is full of stars. He was drenched. Fallen into the fish pond it would appear. I'll bet that was one heck of a shock as it must have been freezing, poor thing!

Perhaps I should have mentioned the benefits of having a dog earlier? Something to cuddle when no one else is loving you. Constantly amusing and bringing smiles when you are sad. Forcing you out of the house to walk them once a day at least. Giving you a reason to go onto the park and not look suspicious and to walk instead of taking the car. People will stop to say hello to them and in turn speak to you when otherwise conversation may not happen.

Even if they do bring smelly pond water into your bedroom. Just gotta love 'em really!
