I'm sorry you and your family are going through this difficcult time. At this point in the disease, there is nothing that will make your mother's disease change its course and Namenda is probably unwarrented. You should confer with her doctor.
If all the close family members agree with your thoughts, I suggest you inform her doctor that you want no heroic measures to keep her alive. You are right in your assessement. She is not suffering pain but she is not living either. The sooner it is over the better for all of you.

According to the stages given for dementia, my mother is in Stage 6 and 7. She has been on Namenda for about four years now - as long as she's been in the nursing home. My question is what is Namenda doing for her at this point with her disease of Parkinsons with dementia? Her precious body has been shutting down for a while now and most markedly in the last couple years. Is Namenda simply slowing down the inevitable? Quality of life is gone. If Namenda is prolonging the agony, is it right to have her on it?
