One of the effects of the economy on our family is the loss of our daytime caregiver.
Carlie was the one that helped with Dad while I am working at my lighting job from 8:00 a.m until 5:00 p.m.
She also helped Dad fold towels and load the dishwasher to keep his skills keen, all the while talking to him about the weather, the good old days and his dog, Comeer.
He has been doing great for about 2 weeks, but today I noticed he was putting the dirty dishes in the cabinets instead of he dishwasher.
I guess my slave labor days are over, too. Bummer for me.
Lucky Dad. Now he can get back to his retirement and I get to load my own darned dishwasher!
