Dementia Caregivers Face Disaster With Shrinking Geriatricians

A new, parallel crisis is developing to add to the stress that dementia caregiver's already face. According to The PBS Nightly Business report published earlier this year, the numbers of practicing geriatricians (physicians who specialize in the care of the elderly) is shrinking at a rapid rate. This scary statistic of plunging numbers of qualified specialists comes as the number of seniors and those with dementia, continues to soar.
