An Eye for an Eye

Posted Dec 20 2008 6:37pm
Dad had to go to the eye doctor today for his 3 month check up. He has glaucoma, macular degeneration and a cataract in his left eye, leaving him blind in that eye. Of course he does not remember that he is blind in that eye, so when he asked for the fifth time why he was going to the optometrist, I told him it was to keep the vision strong in his other eye. I don' t have any vision problems. he said adamantly. How many fingers am I holding up? I asked as a little test. He could not see my fingers at all, so to change the subject he just shot me the bird and asked me how many fingers he was holding up. What a wise guy!
