I had bad eye swelling for about 3 weeks, and then developed the facial gland swelling just before being prescribed with Prednisone, which took care of the eye swelling within a couple of days, and also took care of the facial swelling for the most part, but the glands still felt a bit knobby. After the Prednisone was done, facial swelling returned and is currently situated around the glands where the cheeks meet the ears, as well as just below the ear lobes. Antihistamines appear to be ineffective, but my doctor thinks it's an allergy.
