Plum, Nectarine, Blueberry and Almond Smoothie

Its my day for delivery of my organic produce box! They do have a farmers market locally, but it is only once a month, and most times I am busy doing something else, so completely forget about it. The next best thing is, an organic box, delivered from a local farmer!

I still have fruit left over from earlier in the week, so what better way to use it, than a fresh smoothie, these home made smoothies definately beat the commericially produced ones any day






















2 plums, cut into quarters
1 nectarine, cut into quarters
Handfull of blueberries
1 teaspoon of ground almonds
1 live peach yoghurt
Half pint of semi-skimmed milk
Half pint of water

Place all the fruit and ground almonds in a blender and zap untill it looks like a smooth paste
In a jug mix together the yoghurt and milk
Add the yoghurt / milk mix to the blender and zap utill all ingredients are well combined
Chill and serve

This quantity will be more than enough for two meals, if like me you replace meals with smoothies in the hot weather
