As a parent, I try to think before I act. I know that what I do and say will influence my child’s behavior and view of the world.
Since I’ve started blogging about food allergies, I’ve noticed that my son is very interested in what I’ve been doing. On Monday, another mom told me...that her son told her...that my son said.........I was COOL because I blog about food allergies. I don’t think there is a higher compliment then a boy who thinks his mom is cool (but of course would never tell her to her face!). It is my new badge of honor.
Now to the monkey see-monkey do part. My son has started his own blog about the environment. He is very concerned with global warming. Here is an example of his greenness; upon his request, before taking a shower we put a bucket under the showerhead to catch the unused water we waste while waiting for the water to warm up. He then takes that water outside and uses it to water the plants. The kid is COOL and here is his new blog
