Kids Chicken and Rice

Kid\'s Chicken Rice


  • 2 1/2 cup Chicken Stock
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Powdered Cinnamon, Cloves, Fennel, and Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated or paste
  • 1 Large Red Onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 3 lbs Chicken, cleaned and cut into chunks

Cooking Directions

  1. Clean and Wash Rice thoroughly
  2. Drain all water and dry rice
  3. Soak Chicken in Curd with salt,ginger and garlic
  4. Fry onions until lightly brown
  5. Add chicken with powdered Cinnamon,Cloves,Fennel and Black pepper
  6. Saute well until chicken is coated in paste
  7. Add rice and fry
  8. Add heated chicken stock and as soon as it is completely absorbed by the rice turn off the heat
  9. Bake for 1/2 hr at 180 degrees C (pre-heated oven)
  10. Serve with Greek Yogurt and chopped salad
  11. Garnish with cucumber slices and boiled egg
