My almost 3 year old daughter was very sick for over half of 2008. She spiked fevers upto 106 and had a fever for most of the month for almost 5 months. She had 3 surgeries: adneidectomy/sinus wash (Jan), emergency mastoidectomy and tubes in ears (March- 1 ear infection ever and got mastoiditis in 2 days after getting the ear infection-by the way), and reconstructive sinus surgery on right maxillary cavity (June). She is finally better but they never really figured out what was making her so sick. she is now allergic to 4 major antibiotics and z-pak is the only one left she can take for general infections. she recently started a dose of it and broke out in a rash. it started on her hand and was red, raised and swollen. i put anti itch cream on it and it went down. now it is off her hand and on her abdomen and inner thighs. it doesnt itch and shes been off the meds for almost a week. whats going on?
