Irish survey points to overuse of food allergy labels

From IrishHealth.com: Most precautionary food allergen labels are unnecessary and the overuse of these labels restricts food choices for people with allergies, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has said. According to the results of a food allergy survey, 94% of foods with precautionary allergen labelling did not contain detectable levels of the allergen referred to on the label.
