I have a rash on my neck.. can you help me determine what it is and tips on how to treat it?

i have a red rash on my neck. I'm not sure if it is rash, but it itches and is very irritating. It gets really red and inflamed one day and then after awhile it gets better, and seems to dry out, and becomes dry flaky skin. it just keeps coming back. I also have slightly the same symtpoms on my neck on the top of my eyelashes it's just dry skin that itches.  I don't know what it is or how to treat it. Can you help?

It could be ecsema, but it could also just be dry skin, especially in winter. I would start with a very good lotion like Lubriderm or Curel or maybe even a petroliate like Aquaphore or Vaseline. If a week or so of moisturizing doesn't help then it may be ecsema. Try an over the counter cortisone ointment on the back of you neck, it is not recommended to use on the eyelids. I hope this helps.
It could just be dry skin, especially in the winter. It could also be ecsema. Start with a very good lotion like Nivia or Curel (a "greasy" lotion is best because it also protects the skin), or even a petroliate like Aquaphore or Vaseline. Try moisturizing a few times a day for a week or so. If you do not see any improvement then it may be ecsema. If that is the case try an over the counter cortisone ointment on the back of your neck, it is not recommended on the eyelids. If you still see no improvement you should go to the dermatologist. I hope this helps.
