I had the regular flu for over two weeks. After this, I awoke one morning with the entire left side of my face badly swollen.

no pain, no fever.  As the day progressed, I could feel the swelling encompassing the right side of my face.  This continued thruout the day and the left side started to go down some.  The next morning all of the swelling was gone.  I also am experiencing a very bloated stomach and when pushed on is sore.  This morning I awoke some time in the middle of the night and my tongue was so swollen I could hardly close my mouth.  When I awoke this am, the tongue swelling was gone and the left side of my throat was sore when I swollowed and felt somewhat closed up.  I realize this sounds like I am some kind of kook but I cannot explain these events any better.

During this flu period, I have had a lot of decaf hot tea made with Splenda.  This is the only thing I can think of that is somewhat different.
