My doctor has given me a rx for colestipol. My bad cholesterol is high and I have recently begun insulin for diabetes. I also suffer from anxiety so the thought of taking any new med is a major panic situation for me. I am frightened of side effects, but mostly allergic reactions. I am possibly allergic to penicillin. How common are allergic reactions to this medication?
