This morning, my husband had the brilliant idea of marking our incredibly large collection of expired Epi's to distinguish them from the ones we should grab in case of an emergency. Great idea, hon! We taped red masking tape to mark our expired auto-injectors.
The result: an impromptu Mother's Day bouquet. Not quite as lovely and sweet-scented as a dozen roses but considering what they represent... the ability to keep my child safe, I'll take it... along with the fabulous brunch we're going to at 11 am!
Happy Mother's Day, Allergy Moms! Enjoy your day and don't forget to take your autoinjectors!
p.s. When I collected all our expired Epi-pens in one place, the sheer number of them was a little shocking. We save them to train friends and sitters but I think you can also return them to the pharmacy. I'd love to hear what you do with yours!
