I am far more concerned with whether or not others wash their their hands after touching food than before handling it. Yesterday we picked up The Kid's glasses after being repaired again (don't ask) and shortly after putting them on, he grew an enormous hive directly underneath one of the nose pads. I'll never know if the optician had PB&J, roast beef or yogurt for lunch, but I do know that he didn't wash his hands afterward!
