Concluding Our Series on Section 504 Plans

Posted Oct 14 2008 4:05am
Wrapping up our series on Section 504 Plans, I want to encourage you to share your experiences. I have received messages from many families who have been frustrated by resistance and others who are just starting the process and not sure how to proceed. I think there's potential for us to learn from each other!

How have you dealt with school buses or aftercare? What about field trips? For dual income families who can't always chaperone or be at school on a regular basis, what do you do? What unexpected snags have you encountered during the plan development process? Have you worked with an attorney specializing in education law or special needs advocacy?

If you missed our last month of posts on Section 504 Plans for Food Allergies, here are the links.

Things to Come
We are engaging in a "blog duet" with Macaroni and Peas , a company that offers one on one meal plan coaching and specializes in food allergy families! Cool, huh? First, read their article on creating an Allergy Kit . If you have any thoughts, post a comment here or send me a message and I will integrate that into a blog post next week. Let's begin the CONVERSATION!
