burning sensation in ear canal

sometimes my ear canals will start to tingle, or burn. especially now, i have a cold and my throut is irritated. My ears burn so bad, the pain is worse than my throut. SO AGRIVATING. i put this question under alergies, because nothing else seemed to fit, but it has been hapening for about 4 months now
