Today the little guy and I were walking in the park. The trees seemed to have burst into brilliant green canopies, the sky was robin egg blue with fluffy cotton ball clouds scattered throughout. My son and I were enjoying the warm sun and laughing at a little girl chasing a squirrel. It was a perfect moment in the park until we heard the little girl calling, “Here little squirrel, I have a peanut for you.” (sigh) Still, it was so beautiful out we decided to moved away from the girl and stay awhile longer. After a relaxing moment stretched out in the grass, my son realized we were surrounded by peanut shells. No longer were we in the gorgeous park, we were now in peanut jail! We both froze, prayed we weren’t siting on any (we weren’t) and RAN back to the car. Stupid peanuts!
