A Pasta Taste Test! The Pasta

Posted Aug 26 2008 4:14pm
I have mentioned a few times both on this blog and on the comments sections of other GF blogs, that I have been trying to find a pasta that I like! So here comes the Great British Taste Test! That means GF pasta brands that are available in the UK! Tinkyada is not in the frame, as it is currently not available in the UK

I have chosen three pastas from different sources, one a famous brand that is avalable from supermarkets and health food stores, one a supermarket brand that is available at just about every branch of that supermarket and the the last a brand that I bought online

The shells are made by Orgran , a reputable brand sold in most supermarkets and health food stores. It is made from corn, rice and vegetables and is gluten free, wheat free, dairy free, egg free, yeast free, GMO free and suitable for use by vegans

The penne is part of the Tesco 'Free From' range, available from most if not all of thier supermarkets. It is made from corn, potato starch, soya and rice flours and is wheat free, gluten free and milk free

The tagliatelle is made by France Aglut Bio , and I bought this one online. I've never seen it in the shops, so am not sure of its availability. It is made from rice and is wheat free and gluten free
