I have been drinking heavily for twenty years, starting with my daughter's first psychotic attack (severe) to cope with caring for her sectioning for five months and trying to help my drug addict son who I am told by a prison psychiatrist that he may have sustained brain damage from his dad's abuse, or perhaps have schizophrenia like his sister Apparently drug abuse can bring about Psychotic episodes, and am very pleased to see Frank' the drug advisor's advert, which the government pays for.
My parents and brother were alcoholics, and left my siblings and I locked up in the house and car while they were drinking. I did not pick up alcohol until the stress of caring for my 17 yr old daughter was overwhelming.
I believe there should be more information on alcoholism in an attempt to havev my "label" removed, and educating the public that it is an illness and alcoholics, like me, do not drink., as it is a lilfetime illness and there is no such as a recovered alcoholic.
