What is Pseudo monas jernginos bacteria

My father is 69 years old weighing around 130kgs, he stopped smooking and alcoholism 7 months ago, he was smooking 3 to 4 packets of cigarattes per day and frequently consuming alcohol. On 25 November 2009 he suffered a severe internal bleeding and the blood was coming out from the anus. He was kept in Intensive Care Unit for 6 days and the blood stopped coming out. His stomarch was not swollen at all, aslo he was given 18 units of blood. He spent 21 days in the hospital and it was found out he is infected with Bacteria in the blood called ( Pseudo monas jernginos) since then he is still in the hospital, Doctors refused to tell us about it. Please kindly advise us what is this bacteria and what should we do. Thank you
