Moderate drinking is difficult to define because it means different things to different people but I think Moderate drinking means that you understand your limits and do not exceed them.  In a simple words:- “Moderate drinking means no more than two drinks per day for men and no more than one drink per day for women”

Its little difficult to explain what moderate drinking mean, but i can say that for me moderate drinking is something where one drinks minimal & doesn't loose his/her senses after drinking it. The minimal you drink .i.e. once a while with friends, collegues or alone, the chances of getting addicted to it is minimum, but don't try to follow anyone else's footstep to get into wrong habit of addiction, which is not at all easy to overcome, if anyone get drowned into addiction. Moderate drinking may mean no more than two drinks per day for men,and no more that one drink per day for women. But when you think about it on a serious note you will find that drinking standards are different for different indivisuals. Some people start feeling a high after on or two large drinks whereas others are not affected by even 4 or 5 drinks. But the seriousness arises when someone starts getting addicted to it, and are not able to control themselves, and in turn start to lose control over their lives. So it is always better not to be a regular drinker and also keep the amount minimal.

Moderate drinkers tend to have better health and live longer in comparison to heavy drinkers. Too much alcohol can affect your brain depending upon the amount found in the blood stream. Alcohol can lead to the development of blackouts in future and it also causes a brain lesion that affects memory. So do keep some limits on alcohol which you intake taking into care that you don’t get drowned into it.
