I first have to give you the backstory about how I came to be sharing with you this internet radio show interview about the brain disease of addiction.
It starts as a LinkedIn story. I invited Leslie Botha to connect via our mutual work in the addictions field. She did, and I then I learned that in addition to her work as the Marketing Director for Courage to Change Addiction Recovery Ranches , she is also the author of Understanding Your Mood, Mind and Hormone Cycle , with her own blog and radio show on women’s health. Leslie then suggested I contact Denise Krochta, author of the book, Sweat: A Practical Plan for Keeping your Heart Intact While Loving An Addict , and host of the internet radio program, Addicted to Addicts: Survival 101 , about being a guest on Denise’s show. It was through that search that I found Denise’s interview with Leslie (the real point of this post).
I encourage anyone trying to understand alcoholism or drug abuse and the concept of addiction as a brain disease to listen. Click here .
