I quit alcohol and cigarettes at the same time, can this cause a missed period. I had a tubal ligation 3 years ago.

I am 34 yrs old. My mother passed away in April 09" from brain cancer. I took care of her the entire time she was sick. During that time I also went thru a divorce. The amount of alcohol and cigarette usage increased tremendously. As of September 09" I do not smoke or drink. I have had some of the withdrawal symptoms associated with quitting, but can this make me not have a period?

Not that I am aware of. You should contact a medical professsional, however. Thouoght it sounds like you have been under a great deal of stress, which can affect your overall health, including irregular periods.
