For a Better Understanding of What Happens to the Family…

Gabrielle Antolovich, host of CreaTV, San Jose, CA, “Perspectives in Healthy Living,” and Executive Director for Voices United , the Silicon Valley Resource on Substance Abuse and Addiction, interviewed me last Fall to talk about what happens to the family when a loved one enters treatment, the subject of my new book, Loved One In Treatment? Now What!, available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble .
This book is also an excellent resource for people who are wondering about a loved one who drinks too much — whether they are or are not an addict/alcoholic; how to get them into treatment if they are and what to expect of treatment if they do. It is also an excellent resource for a person who is concerned about their own drug and/or alcohol abuse — wondering whether it is an addiction or alcoholism or just a case of using/drinking too much.
Most of all, it is a book for family members to better understand what happens to them as a result of living with a loved one who drinks too much or abuses drugs and what they can do to change their lives, regardless of whether their loved one seeks treatment or not.
