Doctor, doctor, on the wall

I feel like this is a bad fairy tell, perhaps nearing a happy ending?

Today was yet another pain management appointment. I finally feel like I am getting close to a final resolution on this. It looks like I will finally receive a MRI of the hip area. The doc also doesn't think this is referred pain from my back, but rather a local issue in the gluteal area. This was after a review of the previous lumbar MRI and flexion/extension xray. Good news, indeed. Eighteen months and counting...
