I am not one to skip a meal. Ever. Tonight, I have zero appetite for dinner. What I do have is a sore throat and a bit of a fever. It is so, so warm and muggy here, which is not helping. I can't seem to catch a break here! Honestly, it's been so long since I've exercised that I am starting to feel like a sloth.
Breakfast and lunch today were the same as yesterday. I had a piece of string cheese at dinner and ate a vanilla soft serve cone at Dairy Queen this afternoon when I took the kids for a treat. Not such a stellar weight loss blog post, but it is what it is!
To end on a funny note, I will tell you about my banking experience yesterday, which will have you questioning my sanity.
I was in a rush (as usual) after dropping my kids off with my mother-in-law to make it to my meeting in Miami. I had to deposit a check first, so I pulled into the drive through at the bank where I have my business account. I grabbed the canister, put the check in, and promptly dropped the canister on the ground.
I tried opening the door to the car, but only Flat Stanley would have been able to get out. So, I decided to pull forward. What do you think happened next?
I ran over the canister! I couldn't get it open, couldn't send it through the vacuum chute, nada. I just looked at the teller and pointed to inside to let her know that I was coming in.
As soon as I entered the lobby, tellers and bankers started laughing. I am so glad that I brought joy to their day! I apologized to the guy, offered to pay for the canister, and emphasized that I really needed that stuck check to be deposited.
Fortunately, he was very nice and understanding about the whole thing and used a screwdriver to pry the check out. Can you believe?!
