I'm not familiar w/any alternative treatments for ovarian failure. By egg development, I assume you are interested in future fertility. Do be aware that as we age, the risk of trisomy 21 or some other congenital condition increases. Clomiphene & chorionic gonadotropin are the two traditional methods of which I am aware to induce ovulation. You'll need to see a reproductive endocrinologist for this means of therapy. By the way, if you're interested in egg development, then presumably you want a viable pregnancy. There are some acupuncturists who claim to be able to help a woman conceive after undergoing acunpuncture w/o using any traditional medications. Just a thought. Good luck! OK, just one more thought. If pregnancy isn't an issue, the ovarian failure is usually called menopause and then treated w/hormone therapy assuming that one can't tolerate the vasomotor instability.
