To Use or Not to Use Eldercare Products

Recently, I've seen a lot in the news about walkers and canes causing more falls for the elderly than preventing them?  There is a simple solution though which is to teach those using them how to do so properly. 

Certainly we can find all kinds of elder care products that can improve the qualityof life for our aging parents and family members. 

At some point we all are going to have to repay the care, love and kindness that our parents gave to us when we were children growing up by returning that when they need help as they get older.  For our elderly parents or grandparents that want to be able to stay at home, and remain independent, there are all kinds of elder care products that are available to help them be able to stay at home, yet be safe while they are there on their own. Everything from special phones that are able to adjust to hearing aids, to all kinds of mobility aids like powered scooter chairs, and more. 

Still, they need us to help them read the directions and really understand how to use those tools so that they help and don't harm.   Here are some posts I've been reading about eldercare products:
