Q?

Posted by loretta Rymer

My mother is 93 - driving, fully coherent with full memory of her life since aged about 4.

She has travelled the world and is a lot of fun and full of stories.

She lives along in the Yarra Valley on a lovely property of one acre.

I would be looking for someone to live with her - preferably an older woman who can be a companion, perhaps cook her a meal and in general live with her in their own room, free of rent and full board in exchange for this service.  Do you have any idea where I would begin to find such a person.?   What does the aust govt provide under these circumstances... Many thankx  Loretta

How lucky you are to have a mother like that.  How to find such a person who is reliable and honest will differ from place to place.  You might try calling your most local social service type agency or aging agency and start there.
