Playing Tennis with Clowns

The kids had off today because of Rosh Hashanah, so I balanced work responsibilities with entertainment. They came with me to eat lunch with a colleague (who loves kids, fortunately), and I took them out to play tennis late afternoon. The biggest calorie burn during the entire hour for me was laughing and collecting the balls for the basket four times (125 calories). "Playing" tennis with these guys is like playing with a couple of clowns, but it is hilarious. There is a lot of rolling on the ground, drink breaks, and bathroom humor, e.g. "Mama, try to hit my butt from the other side of the net with that tennis ball. Do it. Do it. It won't hurt, really!" We did run around the courts a couple of times so we could count the outing as exericse. Too much ;-)
