Nursing home requires blister pack medication, but my Dad qualifies for FREE medication through his VA benefits.

Posted by Marcy

My father is going into a nursing home this weekend.  We have been advised that we will have to buy his medications through the nursing home in blister packs.  Dad is eligible for FREE medication due to his VA benefits.  The VA will not pack meds in blister packs due to the large amount of scripts that they fill.  You can imagine that his meds will be very costly buying through the home.  Are there any alternatives.

Marcy, did you find a solution?  I have the same problem.

Hi I'm the owner of An Pharmacy in Garden Grove, CA.  We bubble pack here and I would be more than happy to help.  Please call me at the Pharm and we'll see in a discussion if I can help you.  If not, then at a minimum, I would like to guide you in the right direction.
