Mature and multi-talented? Why not sell your skills?

Mature and Multi-talented (or M&M for short) is a company which was set up by two 50-something women - Sandra Hartley and Lora Starling from Somerset, here in the UK.
Feeling unready to work for an employer when she found herself needing to earn extra money at the age of 53, Sandra made a list of all her skils and placed the list on local noticeboards, hoping to attract some odd jobs here and there. She soon had so much work coming in that she had to draft in friends to help her out.
When Lora heard about what she was doing, the two friends decided to set up a website, which they describe as: 'The first and only Showcase for the skills of the mature and multitalented over 50s. Matureandmultitalented.com makes lifetimes of experience available to a world that needs them.'
The talents and services advertised on the site include: help with flatpack furniture assembly, autobiography mentoring, equine massage and elocution and etiquette training.
If you are over the age of 50 and would like to showcase your own talents on Mature and Multi-talented, annual membership costs £65.00. I suggest that you sign up for client membership first so that you can have a look around the site and see what's on offer before you make the decision to stump up the £65. On the other hand, the site might just give you some ideas of your own...
