is there is a connection between a jaw ache & ear that feels like it is full of water causing pain that seems like tooth ache

dentist said there is nothing wrong with my teeth. no issue with root canal, but definately seems like a connection with intense, sporadic pain that feels like a tooth ache, but comes and goes. at the same time, my ear feels like it is full of fluid
