The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking public input in the development of a National Health Care Quality Strategy and Plan. The National Quality Strategy will be a comprehensive strategic plan and the identification of priorities to improve the delivery of health care services, patient health outcomes, and population health.
The National Quality Strategy is intended to be a living and changing guide for the federal government, as well as for states and the private sector.
A briefing was posted on www.hhs.gov outlining the initial thinking regarding the plan and includes specific areas where feedback would be particularly valuable.
