Help with assisted living

is there any info on getting aid for the elderly concerning assisted living? My mother in law has lost all her money in the market and will soon be forced to move to a retirement home. She currently lives in a Assisted Living facility and is very happy, and at 90 if we move her to a retirement home I fear for the worst. Any suggestions or help!

Sorry to hear this.  Please talk to senior services or social service agencies in your city or state - most have resources to help - although they too are huritng in this economy.
