Caring for Aging Family Members

Posted Oct 23 2008 6:20pm

If you are caring for an aging family member or friend, you are not alone.

It is estimated that 80% of all care received by seniors is provided by family members – spouses, children, grandchildren and other relatives.  During any given year, more than 50 million people provide care, and demands placed on a family are likely to escalate, affecting nearly every American family.

Baby Boomers might consider spending time with their aging loved ones talking about their lives and recording the information for other family members. This will leave a beautiful legacy and provide a host of memorable experiences that will not only enrich the senior’s life, but yours as well.
